This is a one-day comprehensive course designed to teach students how to safely use a handgun. The course will cover different types of pistols and revolvers, how they operate, pros and cons of each type, and the proper ammunition for each. Successful completion of this course is required before obtaining your Mississippi Enhanced Concealed Carry Permit.

Handgun Familiarity will focus on several basic key areas. Although this course will stem from a curriculum covering several areas, we will only discuss the following: self-defense firearm basics, defensive shooting fundamentals, gear and gadgets, and basic skills to work on.
